Growing up, I was never the most athletic, so when I participated in my first 5K race in 2016, I was shocked to realise I enjoyed it. Since then I’ve done a number of races, my most recent being the Sagicor Sigma Run. Don’t get me wrong, I never sign up for these races with dreams of breaking any records. In fact, I usually sign up to run, but somehow end up walking most of the distance (don’t judge me). Ultimately, however, I always get a feeling of accomplishment when I cross the finish line.
